What have they done to our president. I hope they are bluffing, just trying to make us back off. One of our best ways to fight back is by cutting down our consumption to as little as possible.

Nothing this Administration has done today changes that in any way."....

Subject: HUGE NEWS: Dakota Access Pipeline halted by Obama administration
Anne--
I'm sure that by now, you've heard the amazing news: Yesterday, the Army Corps of Engineers denied oil companies the final approval they needed to drill underneath the Missouri River and complete the Dakota Access Pipeline.
This is a monumental victory for the Standing Rock Sioux and all of the indigenous water protectors and their allies who peacefully stood up to protect sacred tribal land and a water source that millions depend on. But the fight isn't over yet.
We wanted to take a second to say thank you for the action you took to support the #NoDAPL protests, and to let you know the latest on where things stand with the Dakota Access Pipeline.
Check out this statement from the Standing Rock Sioux on yesterday's victory, then share it with your friends and family on Facebook today.<https://act.democracyforamerica.com/go/24730?t=1&refcode=g-NoDAPLvictory1205.d-20161205.m-8698.s-27742&akid=8698.131752.2PWJp1>
Yesterday's announcement from the Army Corps of Engineers was important, but the future of the Dakota Access Pipeline project is still very uncertain. Energy Transfer Partners, the entity building the pipeline, responded to the news with a statement saying they "fully expect to complete construction of the pipeline without any additional rerouting in and around Lake Oahe. Nothing this Administration has done today changes that in any way."
We don't know yet what actions these oil companies will take to try and completely the pipeline. But this much is clear: The massive corporations that have invested in this project are going to keep fighting for the Dakota Access Pipeline no matter what -- which means we need to be ready to keep fighting, too.
DFA will be keeping an eye on developments out in Standing Rock, and we will let you know if there is more you can do to help. But today, we're celebrating this victory and the water protectors who demonstrated incredible leadership and tenacity while fighting to protect their land.
Read the important victory statement from the Standing Rock Sioux, and share it with your community on Facebook today.<https://act.democracyforamerica.com/go/24730?t=2&refcode=g-NoDAPLvictory1205.d-20161205.m-8698.s-27742&akid=8698.131752.2PWJp1>
Thanks for standing in solidarity with Standing Rock.
