Join Us for Our Holiday Potluck! Tuesday, December 5th, 6:30pm @Japhet Creek

We'll take a tour of Japhet Creek where we recently installed a water reclamation cistern (https://wordpress.us2.list-manage.com/track/click?u=6ee547149eea4727119e7289e&id=43eb417b10&e=4311dae4e7) . Previous efforts of Transitioners included grading the walkway, installing solar lighting, performing cleanup, and planting a garden directly outside the classroom facility where permaculture courses are now being taught on a regular basis.


** What is Japhet Creek?

For those of you who have not yet the opportunity to visit, Japhet Creek (https://wordpress.us2.list-manage.com/track/click?u=6ee547149eea4727119e7289e&id=d9867d4f98&e=4311dae4e7) is devoted to the restoration of the Japhet Creek Nature Park and to promote low impact outdoor recreation, conservation, and opportunities that are environmentally and socially responsible.

Japhet Creek is dedicated to protecting and enhancing our Nature Park through providing fun, safe experiences and social events for the community and, at the same time, using these events as an opportunity to educate and restore our green spaces. Japhet Creek volunteers are working and forming alliances with other user groups to ensure a quality trail experience for all.

With your help, Japhet Creek will once again become the pristine, native habitat for migrating songbirds, aquatic turtles, swamp rabbits, red-tailed hawks, various fish, otters and the resident herons that nest nearby!
