[PAA-Discuss] NOW IS THE TIME: Stop Trump from Dismantling Refugee Resettlement

Dear advocates, we're hearing  reports that the Trump administration is considering lowering the refugee admissions number to less than 50,000 next year - A HISTORIC LOW. 

We already have tens of thousands of refugees who were expecting to be resettled this year but were blocked by the executive order. An admissions number of less than 50k for next year would be devastating. Not only will it leave thousands of refugees in life-threatening situations abroad, but it will have long-term impacts to the infrastructure of the entire resettlement program in the United States. 

Help us protect refugees - Take action today to make a call to your member of Congress using the script below. I'm also attaching some graphics you can share on social media along with the take action alerts using hashtags #RefugeesWelcome #Welcome75k. Please help us share this through your networks this week:

As we face the worst refugee crisis in global history with more than 22 million refugees worldwide, we cannot and should not shirk our responsibility to protect the most vulnerable mothers, fathers, and children.
