[PAA-Discuss] Fwd: Pentagon wants to widen use of nuclear weapons

Dear Chronicle Viewpoints;

Am shocked, to say the least, that the Pentagon has submitted a plan
to President Trump for the use of nuclear weapons in case of cyber attacks.
Cyber attacks do not kill or maim anyone but a nuclear bomb retaliation
could kill and maim millions and seriously damage the world's environment.
It would be highly irresponsible for the U.S. to attack the people of
another nation in response to a cyber attack.
The first launch of nuclear weapons should never happen and a retaliatory
strike should not be left to any one person to decide.  In my humble
opinion, I suggest a group of five high ranking elected officials to make
the decision with at least four affirmative votes.
