I believe that the US sanctions on Venesuelans is part of the problem. Sanctions don’t hurt the gov except in making their constituents suffer. Lee

Please read Chronicle article today describing how Venezuelans have to loot and steal food to have something to eat. This began around Xmas when Maduro promised holiday hams were coming to his supporters. But many did not arrive sparking protests some burning garbage in the streets and looting. Pundits called it the "pork revolution."
