Our own HCC Anthropology Professor  and Archaeologist Dr. William David Driver leads off the 2017 Fall REEL Film and Speaker Series next Wednesday, September 20th  with a film of special interest*. We will convene in the Commons (next to the 'Deli).

This film follows a team of international scientists who discover and document an archaeological sensation: the exploration of royal tombs beneath the ancient Mexican city of Teotihuacan.  

Learn about pre-contact Mexico and its history of early cultures and civilizations as well as recent discoveries that extend and enlarge our appreciation of Mexican history, culture and people.    Archaeologist Dr. Driver will introduce the film and reference his own field experience in the region in Q&A session. 
*This program is especially timely for our Reading Cultures Program.  The semester book selection "Like Water for Chocolate" with a focus on the country of Mexico and our project to learn more about the world through literature and discussion.
